In-School Advocacy

In the Fall, the LMS shares an outline of the activities that have planned for the school year. This allows teachers to be prepared for any and all upcoming events.

The LMS hands out flyers during family orientation and teacher planning days.

This flyer demonstrates who the LMS is and what students do in the media center.

The LMS serves as webmaster for the school website and regularly updates the home page with information about events in the media center.

The LMS also works with the Social Media Sponsor to push events out to the public on Facebook and Remind.

The LMS keeps up with the Accelerated Reader Learning Certifications. She updates them as needed, pushing students to the next level and rewards readers with certificates and reading celebrations.

In the media center, the LMS posts Accelerated Reader data for students and teachers to see.

Circulation data is also posted.

As mentioned earlier, the LMS serves as webmaster for the school website and regularly updates the main page of the school site and the library site to reflect current trends.

The LMS hosted AR Celebrations for students who passed their AR goals during the first nine weeks.

Students were invited to popcorn and a movie in the media center.

At the end of last year, the LMS hosted a HUGE celebration for students who met their AR goal for the entire school year.

The students were treated to chips and drinks, in addition to a dance party.
