The LMS owns four iPod Shuffles. While these are not available for checkout, they are open to student use during media time. Students have a variety of Audio Books to choose from. The reading level is posted on the book, if needed.

The LMS sometimes uses Novel Effect for Read Aloud.
Younger students will often ask if the book "has sounds" before the LMS begins reading it.
Often it will be used as a treat for a second reading of the story.

Novel Effect is now more often used by students for the eBooks that they offer.
Students can read the book aloud and the sound effects will play along in the background.

Thanks to Title IV funding, Sabal Palm Media Center has 6 Osmo Learning Pads with associated games (Coding, Tangrams, Words, Numbers, Sticks & Rings).
Title IV also purchased five iPads for school use. These are in addition to two iPads the library already owned.

They can be checked out in the morning and must be returned before the end of the day.

The Sabal Palm Media Center has Pocketalk Translators that can be checked out by teachers to be used in their classrooms.
These translators have made communication with students and families a whole lot easier.
