Scheduling

I teach three grade levels as part of the special area rotation, with one additional 3-5 ESE Class on Monday and one additional K-2 ESE Class on Tuesday. All remaining openings are used for student checkout, working with teachers, attending grade-level meetings, or assisting the Assistant Principal with Reading Coach duties.

I am open in the mornings before school, from 7:45 - 8:30. I remain open throughout the school day, and then open back up again when I finish Bus Duty in the afternoon. While I have a scheduled "planning period" and "lunch", I am typically found working and checking out books during this time. I do not close the library for lunch or planning.

I teach four weeks of Gifted Camp each summer, which allows me to open the library up for book checkout to our summer camp, Summer Reading Academy, ESY, and 21st Century students.
